Nicolas Poussin's work has influenced me not by the subject that he painted but by the architecture in the ;backgrounds, the old style buildings of that century influence alot of my work and photography for example:

Architecture:

Claudia Leverentz, i recently stumbled across her work but from the first moment i saw it i fell inlove with her images. Her use of line and curves to lead the viewers eye around the image are so clever and make it very aesthetically beautiful. She captures the detail of all the old buildings perfectly which really give you the feel of how magnificent they are in real life as if you are standing there in person looking out at what she sees.

Keith Levit first picked up a second hand camera twenty-five years ago. The ensuing years have seen Levit pursue his concept of merging photography and art, in both the black and white and colour mediums. Although based in Winnipeg, many of Levit’s images have been created while he travelled around Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America. His passion for photography, love of travel and adventure, embody images that capture the heart and soul of the world’s most remote and inaccessible regions. Levit focuses on travel journalism capturing the mystical beauty of the natural lands as well as the people who live there.
I love the beautiful landscapes and the close up images that show the most stunning colours of the autumn season, although the images are very simplistic, the natural lighting of the autumn sunset makes it so captivating.
When I look at the images on the lake itself I feel as though I am there seeing it for myself, I think the images would work best on a much larger scale as it would bring the sense of being there more realistic as though you could just lose yourself in this perfect world he has managed to capture in these photos.

Edward Weston - has been one of the biggest influences in my work, his still life images are so captivatng and truly beautiful, the soft tones of black and white make the soft textures of the object really come to life and show the delicacy of each petal.
heres a few examples of my own work inspired by Edward Weston:
