Natural Surroundings:

Charlie Waite

Keith Levit first picked up a second hand camera twenty-five years ago. The ensuing years have seen Levit pursue his concept of merging photography and art, in both the black and white and colour mediums. Although based in Winnipeg, many of Levit’s images have been created while he travelled around Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North and South America. His passion for photography, love of travel and adventure, embody images that capture the heart and soul of the world’s most remote and inaccessible regions. Levit focuses on travel journalism capturing the mystical beauty of the natural lands as well as the people who live there.
I love the beautiful landscapes and the close up images that show the most stunning colours of the autumn season, although the images are very simplistic, the natural lighting of the autumn sunset makes it so captivating.
When I look at the images on the lake itself I feel as though I am there seeing it for myself, I think the images would work best on a much larger scale as it would bring the sense of being there more realistic as though you could just lose yourself in this perfect world he has managed to capture in these photos.
